About Me

Towards the end of 2019 I decided to purchase a 3D printer, purely to start printing my own models as I had grown fed up with the lack of diversity available with female figures on the market. Over the Christmas and New Year break that moved us into 2020 I kept tinkering away with 3D design programs such as Meshmixer and Blender, each time my figures and printable models evolved and developed but they weren’t real enough. We holidayed in Slovenia towards the start of March to celebrate our wedding anniversary and when we came back everything went….well Covid.

During the break from work between March and the start of May I came across Daz Studio being advertised on Facebook and decided to give it a try for the purpose of 3D printing more realistic models. On August the 26th 2020 I clicked all the wrong buttons and my first character came out, Fae, at the time purely for the purposes of 3D printing and doing the odd piece of 3D artwork. I carried on working on new figure ideas and designs when on the 5th of September my next character Evelyn came out, once again she was created purely for the purpose of 3D printing and was intended to be a nymph or fairy-like girl.

On September the 10th I did an image of Evelyn sleeping under a tree in a dark forest and at first I didn’t think much else of it, as I was driving to work I kept thinking about incorporating new fantasy images based around her living in this dangerous forest. Which got me thinking about how these images could become her story. This is how Evelyn’s story Sleepy Hollow was born.

I had kept working on Fae’s character during this time and knew I could do a similar image driven story for her but unlike Evelyn’s story Fae would be battling with her biggest demons, her own mind. What I didn't realise at the time was that Fae’s story was an almost direct transcript of the depression I had begun suffering from since November. 

Battling with myself I carried on until at the end of May 2021 when I completed my first book, Life Downside Up, a story about Fae learning to overcome her own demons and meeting her best friend Evelyn.

After completing my first book I was going to take a month off, however no sooner had I finished when my creative mind kept writing a sequel and a prequel. Presently I am still working on both the prequel and sequel (currently unnamed) which will be about Evelyn and Fae’s lives together and apart after their respective solo stories.
